The morning started out with face-painting and coloring. Each traveler had their own lap book, which consisted of colorable images of an Australian map, the Australian flag, and animals, instruments, and landmarks that are unique to Australia. The kids began coloring and took turns getting their faces painted in the traditional style of the Aborigines, the native people of Australia. After everyone's faces were painted, Connie pulled up a power-point presentation and shared fun facts about the country. They also watched fun video clips from Crocodile Hunter and Crocodile Dundee!
Overall, the workshop was a huge success - nothing but smiles and a great time. We are very much looking forward to the next workshop on Saturday, November 16th! Connie and Emily will be traveling to China to learn about their music and culture, and they will be making gongs. You definitely won't want to miss it!
To sign your children up for the workshops, please contact Emily at firstname.lastname@example.org or 678-469-6001, or Connie at email@example.com or 205-223-1311.
Until then, check out the photos from our trip to Australia!
