First, thanking Grateful Greg Fordham for getting the ball rolling with both of these events is important so… THANKS GREG!!!
Greg is the drummer for both bands. To me, Greg has the same energy as Animal from the Muppets. The energy is so awesome. To be happy at a rock show is the foremost important aspect. Greg brings it tenfold!!!
To be able to play with men whom I consider to be as close as family was truly the best aspect of this gig for me. The love between these individuals is for certain life-long, and our friendships have endured some sincerely difficult hardships; however, the love we have for each other has persevered and left us wanting to continue playing with each other for years to come. WE ARE GOING INTO THE STUDIO!!! Plans are still in the works, but the timeline is that by this time next year, we will be recording!! I can’t wait.
Another one of the great experiences that we had with the young Stone Puppy was practicing at my mom and dad’s when we were 14 and 15 years old. My dad wanted to have us out for a jam session for the reunion so… The Friday before the gig at The Hummingbird, we all got together at my mom and dad’s for a pot luck dinner and an awesome jam session. There were 6 guitarists - Rick, Sam, John, Rowdy, Sean, and myself; a bassist (Thanks Charles Gaston!!! Who drove down from TN to jam); Joe, the keyboardist; and Greg, the drummer. We played for hours, and after the jam, Stone Puppy had a great rehearsal to prepare for the show.
Thanks to everyone who either came to listen and/or helped us put on some great shows and have a great time!!
Keep on jamming!! EVERYONE!!
